Requirements
Must:
- I require 8 to 15 years of commercial experience in software application development as a programmer.
- I seek candidates with a strong and solid knowledge of software engineering principles and practices.
- Proven experience in developing data processing applications using Scala and Python 3.10+ is necessary.
- I need a strong understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and the ability to write highly maintainable and readable code.
- You should demonstrate professional expertise in understanding and implementing object-oriented design patterns, and developing container-based applications in a microservices architecture.
- A passion for tackling challenging data problems and complex algorithmic issues, along with a willingness to work in a start-up environment, is essential.
- Experience with Git or other similar version control software is important.
- A commitment to developing high-quality, robust, scalable, and maintainable software is required.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks, CI/CD, test automation, and software monitoring and alerting is needed.
Responsibilities
- Your primary responsibility will be to work with teams across the company to implement new data solutions while maintaining the stability of the platform.
Description
- It would be advantageous if you have experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including tuning and optimizing complex queries for highly scalable systems, along with query languages such as Hive/SparkSQL and ANSI SQL. - Experience building large scale Spark 3.x applications and data pipelines, ideally with batch processing running on Hadoop clusters, is desirable. - If you have experience with messaging queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS, and an understanding of the reactive architecture paradigm, that would be a plus. - I am looking for individuals with experience in designing and developing highly available, fault-tolerant software, as well as in the architecture and development of data models and data dictionaries in big data systems. - This is a rolling contract, and if this opportunity sounds interesting to you, please send me your CV so we can discuss further in detail.
