Senior Service Designer

As a Senior Service Designer on our Service Design and User Research team, my role will involve helping to deliver and continuously improve joined-up, end-to-end services based on data and evidence. I will work in a delivery-focused environment, collaborating with members of multi-disciplinary agile teams, including policy experts, user researchers, data analysts, developers, content designers, and business analysts. My responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to: - Designing services that meet the Government Service Standard. - Carrying out a wide range of service design activities, including problem framing, journey mapping, prototyping, and workshop facilitation. - Translating actionable insights from user research and other insight sources into accessible designs. - Ensuring services comply with public sector accessibility regulations. - Developing user-facing features, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs in line with the GDS Design System. - Prototyping website designs and UI elements as required. - Playing a leading role in developing a user-centered design community that discusses methods, best practices, and identifies areas for improvement. - Collaborating with stakeholders across the agency, including service owners, product owners, user researchers, business analysts, content designers, and developers.
