Requirements
Must:
- I require candidates to have GCSE Maths and English grades A-C or equivalent.
- A solid understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office professional applications is essential.
- I expect experience in setting up and configuring computers, particularly with Windows 10.
- Candidates should have experience with PC maintenance.
- I value a strong understanding of the importance of PC security.
Responsibilities
- I need you to support staff in appropriately logging Helpdesk issues and monitor the Helpdesk System.
- You will respond to logged user helpdesk tickets, prioritizing incidents and requests and resolving issues independently or seeking support for complex requests while keeping staff updated.
- You will assist in the creation, maintenance, and deployment of Windows images and updates across the school's IT infrastructure.
- It is essential that you support the installation and maintenance of IT hardware and software across the school network while ensuring license compliance.
- You will help ensure all mobile devices are encrypted, updated with system patches, and have current anti-virus protections.
- I expect you to monitor daily backup routines on network servers and ensure successful completion.
- You will perform ICT safeguarding practices by monitoring internet filtering systems and classroom monitoring software.
- Your duties will also include registering student and visitor devices onto the BYOD network and assisting with CCTV operations and log maintenance.
- You will support the set-up, maintenance, and removal of user accounts on all network and cloud services and provide first-line technical support for cashless catering.
- Additionally, you will monitor network switches, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and assist with Office 365 Administration and Active Directory Management.
- You will be involved in the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of school anti-virus software across devices.
- You are responsible for maintaining the online asset register and carrying out inventory checks as needed.
- You will assist in the installation of network cabling and support staff and student biometric registration.
- I expect you to assist the ICT Manager with IT projects, source quotations for equipment and services, and keep user guides in the Operational Handbook up to date.
- You will ensure protocols are followed for the booking and release of ICT equipment and check that equipment is returned after use with media removed.
- You will support the setup of various IT and media for examinations and events requiring IT support.
- Lastly, you should assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of stage lighting and audio equipment and help arrange repairs when necessary, along with supporting staff and students in media creation that enhances the curriculum or school activities.
