2368 IT & Software Developer jobs in the UK
Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with proven experience leading software delivery in a microservice-based environment, along with a strong technical background in .NET and Azure. You should feel comfortable working across the stack, particularly with backend systems, and have experience mentoring and guiding developers in a collaborative, agile setup. A product-focused mindset is essential, as is the ability to understand trade-offs between speed, scalability, and user experience. Excellent communication skills are a must, as is a passion for clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement. We value curiosity and proactivity, consistently looking for better ways to build, measure, and deliver.
Responsibilities
As our Tech Lead, you will lead a multidisciplinary squad to produce high-quality, production-ready software. Youll design and build scalable microservices in .NET and Azure, contributing to the evolution of our microservice architecture and integration patterns. Collaboration will be key, as you will partner with product managers, business analysts, and designers to translate customer needs into clear technical plans. Your responsibilities will also include working closely with QA and automation testers to ensure quality and reliability from the outset, staying hands-on with code while mentoring others, and driving technical discussions to champion clean architecture and improved engineering standards. Additionally, you will contribute to larger engineering initiatives, including enhancing developer experience and shared tooling.
Description
We offer real autonomy to shape how your squad designs and builds software within a modern, cloud-native architecture that encourages experimentation and ownership. You’ll work alongside talented developers, designers, testers, and product professionals who care about what they build. There are opportunities to influence technical decisions shaping our products and platforms, and we support growth into staff, principal, or architecture-focused leadership roles. Our culture emphasizes craftsmanship, curiosity, and learning, with regular opportunities for professional development, including conferences and innovation time. The benefits we provide include 35 days of holiday (including bank holidays) with additional buy/sell options, 24/7 mental health support, flexible benefits, and hybrid working options to support work-life balance. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment, with commitments to mental health and wellbeing, accessibility, and career progression for women and all individuals. We also celebrate recognition awards, social events, and more to foster a positive workplace culture.
