Requirements
Must:
- I have experience in engineering and supporting at least one HPC scheduler, such as YellowDog, Ray, Slurm, or IBM Symphony.
- I possess a deep knowledge of Linux.
- I understand both loosely coupled and tightly coupled HPC workloads, and I have experience working on large-scale systems with 5000+ nodes and high levels of concurrency (100k+ tasks).
- I have experience with the monitoring and visualization of large-scale systems.
- I have experience with performance tuning of compute, network, and storage components. I understand the challenges of user authorization in large-scale distributed environments using AWS IAM and identity providers such as Okta.
- I have a good knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- I believe in automation whenever possible and can code with Python.
- I have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- I am collaborative and pragmatic, bringing great communication skills to the team.
- I have relevant technical education or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
As a HPC Platform Management Engineer, I will develop and support scalable workload scheduling solutions for HPC environments using tools such as YellowDog within a large-scale computing environment, including both on-premise and cloud (AWS) based services. I will collaborate with internal teams to optimize HPC platforms, focusing on improving performance, resilience, and observability of the compute infrastructure. Additionally, I will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automating processes whenever possible, and sharing my expertise with the team.
