Requirements
Must:
- I have strong Python back-end development skills.
- I have experience with AWS.
- I possess full software development lifecycle experience and a good knowledge of modern software engineering best practices.
- I have a good understanding of DevOps principles.
- I have strong business acumen, with experience working in start-ups or SMEs.
- I have a degree in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline.
Responsibilities
As a Backend Software Engineer, I will join a small technology team and take ownership of backend development work. I will work on a range of projects where I will quickly see the results of my work and have the opportunity to contribute to technical decision-making. My primary focus will be on Python development within an AWS environment, collaborating closely with DevOps Engineers.
Description
I have the opportunity to progress my career in a senior, hands-on Backend Software Engineer role at a technology start-up that is producing a software suite for legal firms, significantly reducing para-legal workloads. The company has seen substantial interest in its product and offers a lot of greenfield development work. I will be part of a growing team based in Central Manchester three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home the other two days. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £90k, along with 25 days of holiday, a pension plan, and excellent career progression opportunities as the company scales.
