Requirements

Must:
We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in the Audio-Visual industry, specifically those with a strong background in AV systems design, integration, and engineering leadership. You should have a proven track record of managing installation teams and working hands-on from the first fix through to commissioning. A deep understanding of AV technologies, including video distribution, networking, control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron), audio processing, projection, and display systems, is essential. Strong team management and organizational skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, are critical. Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are a must. You should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure. Additionally, you must be willing to travel across the UK to install systems, which may include overnight stays and occasional weekend and out-of-hours work (but we limit this to no more than six weekends per year).

Responsibilities

In your role, you will help us grow and improve our engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. You will oversee the offsite prefabrication and installation of AV systems at customer sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and health and safety regulations. Assisting with the development and implementation of engineering best practices, processes, and documentation will be part of your responsibility. You will mentor junior engineers and support their professional development within the team. Additionally, you will keep up to date with emerging AV technologies and trends, recommending strategic technical improvements and supporting our hardware and software development teams. Troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing expert-level support will also be essential. Leading the onsite installation team to deliver bespoke AV installations throughout the UK while delivering exceptional customer service and striving for 'right first time' engineering will be key components of your role. We expect you to position yourself as a subject matter expert in one of our core technologies.
