We are looking for someone who demonstrates proficiency in Azure Cloud Networking and possesses the capability to align business needs with IT requirements. Experience in cross-border enterprise architecture environments, as well as in international change delivery settings, is essential. Candidates should have leadership and team management experience, with multiple years of managing change in complex environments. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is required, and it is desirable to have, or be pursuing, TOGAF9 architecture certification. We expect advanced analytical and conceptual abilities, with the ability to work independently while following established processes. Comprehensive knowledge of cloud architecture, particularly within the Azure ecosystem, is important. Effective communication and relationship skills are necessary for collaboration across teams, and the ability to convey complex technical information to various stakeholders is crucial. Experience in managing third parties, ideally in an outsourced context, along with an understanding of economic principles and budget management experience, will be advantageous. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required, and a willingness to travel nationally and internationally is essential.
Responsibilities
As the Group Wide Lead Cloud Network Architect within Uniper IT, I will operate at the group level within the CIO unit, independently shaping the Cloud Network strategy and architecture. My role will define and guide the IT Strategy for Cloud Networking, focusing on modern network infrastructure in Azure. I will be responsible for defining the conceptual architecture of Cloud Networking in Azure and overseeing technical decision-making and governance during implementation phases, ensuring alignment with Uniper's Cloud strategy.
I am expected to participate in steering and governance meetings at the executive management level, addressing discussions on adherence to Uniper's Cloud Network standards. My responsibilities will include ensuring sustainable and effective delivery of work programs, providing guidance in accordance with Uniper’s architectural frameworks, and establishing design standards and quality assurance procedures. I will lead design decisions as necessary, review high-level designs from strategic service partners for suitability and cost-effectiveness, and shape and guide the IT strategy for cloud network topics. I will also lead senior architecture and technical teams across various locations, develop IT strategy recommendations for senior management, evaluate project compliance during formal approval processes, and contribute to decisions on infrastructure vendors as part of broader project teams. Additionally, I will identify and recommend infrastructure standards and represent Line of Business IT in group initiatives while collaborating with business stakeholders during business case development.
