Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a highly skilled candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- A degree or equivalent level qualification or experience.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in application support or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the applications development life cycle.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to work effectively under pressure.
- Technical expertise in key databases including Microsoft SQL Server 20xx SSMS, programming languages such as DOS, PowerShell, SQL, and T-SQL.
- Proficiency in key tools including Windows 10/11, Windows 20xx Server, Office 365 (including Power BI and SharePoint), Microsoft IIS, and FTP/SFTP.
- Experience in managing service desk incidents, requests, and change controls.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to:
- Provide advanced support for business-critical applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with business customers, software suppliers, and colleagues to resolve complex issues.
- Manage incidents, requests, and change controls through the Service Desk.
- Develop and maintain high-standard support documentation.
- Work independently and as part of a team within the wider ICT department.
- Utilize a clear and logical approach to problem-solving in high-pressure situations, handling difficult situations calmly and professionally.
