Must:
We are looking for a Frontend Developer with around 2+ years of commercial experience. You should possess strong skills in WordPress, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A familiarity with REST APIs is essential, and knowledge of PHP would be desirable. Additionally, an understanding of design tools like Adobe and Figma is important. We appreciate candidates who have a genuine passion for what they build.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for building responsive, design-led sites in WordPress, and while React skills are a bonus, they are not essential. You will collaborate with our designers and strategists to turn bold ideas into slick, functional builds. You may also get involved in client discussions as we value developers who can explain what’s possible (and what’s not). Sharing your knowledge with the team to raise the bar is encouraged.

We, at Standard 8, are partnering with a creative leader in the retail and entertainment sector who excels in making brands stand out online. We design and build digital experiences that look great, load fast, and function effectively. The salary for this position ranges from £35,000 to £45,000, with the opportunity to work hybrid (2 days a week in our Manchester office). This is a full-time, permanent role that includes a bonus scheme and more.
