Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- 4+ years of Windows Server Administration experience (managing 100+ servers)
- Proficiency in VMware
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- Experience with AWS
- Familiarity with SAN storage
- Understanding of DNS
- Background in production environments
- Basic knowledge of Linux
- Microsoft Certified, VMware Certified, or AWS Certified is desirable
Responsibilities
As a Windows Server Systems Administrator, I will expect you to:
- Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows Server environments
- Be part of a 24/7 production team, comprising around 25 engineers
- Support multiple systems or applications that are of medium to high complexity
- Manage Mail, DNS, FTP, IIS, and various application environments
- Participate in the on-call rotation
- Handle cabling, racking, and other tasks in Physical Data Centres
- Effectively communicate events to stakeholders, teams, and leadership
Description
We are a leading international software business dedicated to delivering high-performance IT solutions. This role is based in a large operation that operates in a 24/7 production environment, with the work distribution being approximately 85% focused on Windows Server and 15% on VMware. These positions have been created due to team expansion and the acquisition of new clients. We offer a hybrid work model, with two days per week required in our Hedge End office.
