Requirements
Must:
We require 10+ years of experience in Oracle database development, with at least 2 years specifically in Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaCC) and Oracle 19c. You should have expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and advanced performance tuning techniques such as bind variable peeking, cursor sharing, and hard parsing. An in-depth understanding of Oracle internals, including wait events, cardinality feedback, and histograms is essential. Experience with both OLTP and Data Warehouse tuning approaches is expected, along with familiarity with containerized deployments and CI/CD best practices. You should be comfortable presenting complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven experience in Credit Risk - Stress Testing is a must.
Responsibilities
In this senior-level role, you will design and optimize high-performance Oracle database solutions, focusing specifically on ExaCC environments. You will troubleshoot complex performance issues using internal diagnostics, such as ASH and AWR, rather than relying on canned tools. Collaboration with architects and data modelers will be key, as you refine and challenge schema designs. You will build reusable components and streamline legacy database code. Additionally, you will work closely with DevOps teams using OpenShift, CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and scripting languages such as Bash and Python. You will also contribute to systems design with a strong emphasis on observability and supportability.
