We are looking for a passionate Software Developer who is dedicated to changing lives with assistive technology. You should have at least 5 years of professional software development experience in modern C#. A solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis is essential. We expect you to have excellent knowledge of software design principles, and to be confident and experienced in automated testing, from unit tests to system and integration tests. Your experience should include REST API development using C# and ASP.NET Core, as well as developing, deploying, and maintaining APIs in AWS/Azure. Familiarity with load balancers, SQL/NoSQL data stores, and caches is required. You should also understand REST API principles and best practices, including API versioning, authentication/authorization models and techniques, and secret management. Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM tools and applying OWASP secure coding practices is important, along with a confident application of cloud best-practices for identity and access management, hosting, deployment, and monitoring. We value resourcefulness in turning problems into simple solutions and proactivity in resolving ambiguities with stakeholders. You should be comfortable picking up an existing codebase and improving test coverage while delivering safe code changes. Versatility and a flexible approach to evolving business priorities, as well as great interpersonal and communication skills, are key. A strong analytical mindset and attention to detail are also necessary.
