Requirements
Must:
- Strong technical expertise, ideally a degree in software, computing, electronics, control systems, or automotive engineering; however, we will consider other qualifications or significant relevant experience.
- Proven experience with Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow, particularly in complex embedded programming and debugging, with a minimum of 3 years in high-volume product industry experience.
- Knowledge and experience with vehicle, machine, or engine control systems.
- Familiarity with development processes for real-time control systems and experience with software version control systems, such as GIT.
Responsibilities
As an Embedded Software Model Developer, I will be responsible for directing and participating in the design, development, and support of complex 'real-time' Embedded Engine Application Software features. My responsibilities include:
- Interfacing with internal partners and electronics system development engineers to implement solutions based on their needs, including requirement determination and software functionality development.
- Developing software functionality using models in Matlab/Simulink.
- Creating test cases to enable feature testing on Hardware in the Loop (HIL) systems.
- Conducting verification and validation of engine control features as part of the development process.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any electronics/control system issues encountered during the build and test of engine software.
- Integrating, configuring, and compiling subsystem software.
Description
This opportunity is based in the Engine Applications Software Team, which is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of Embedded software for power systems. The position is a 12-month assignment based in Peterborough, with the potential for extension. We offer a competitive hourly rate via Umbrella or PAYE.
