Requirements
Must:
- Strong JavaScript SPA experience (React preferred)
- Backend expertise with Node.js
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems (Kafka preferred)
- Proficient in database management (Postgres ideal, relational & document-based)
- Knowledge of CI/CD best practices (Git, automated testing, pipelines)
- Familiarity with containerization deployments (Docker or Kubernetes)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications, APIs, and reusable client-side layers
- Work on backend services, data architectures, and frontend web applications
- Design and optimize database schemas and data storage solutions
- Enhance Kafka processing for simulation outputs
- Set up and manage project pipelines and infrastructure
- Review and improve engineering work to ensure high-quality code
Description
This position is inside IR35 and offers a hybrid working model, requiring 1-2 days a week onsite in London. You will be working on a long-term government contract via a specialized public sector consultancy. The daily rate ranges from £450 to £600, and we offer 6-month rolling contracts with a significant commitment to the project.
