Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with significant experience in security architecture, particularly within large, complex organizations. Ideally, you will possess knowledge of healthcare IT, smart technologies, interoperability, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Familiarity with key standards like NIST, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, and NHS frameworks is essential. We expect a proven ability to embed security into digital transformation programs, along with strong skills in risk management, stakeholder engagement, and leadership. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or TOGAF are desirable, and a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Responsibilities
As our Cyber and Security Architect, you will develop and maintain the enterprise security architecture across our digital, clinical, and smart systems. You will lead governance processes, including design reviews, risk assessments, and compliance assurance. It will be your responsibility to align security with our organizational goals, national standards, and digital health strategies. You'll embed secure-by-design principles into our transformation programs and operations, monitor threats, assess vulnerabilities, and recommend innovative solutions. Producing and maintaining security standards, patterns, and threat models will also be part of your role. Additionally, mentoring teams and building our organizational security capability will be crucial, as will ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NHS DSPT.

You will play a key part in embedding security into all layers of our digital transformation initiatives, making a significant impact on the security posture of our organization in the healthcare sector.
