We are looking for a Cyber GRC Specialist with proven experience in delivering Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and cyber risk programs within complex, regulated, or critical infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of cyber risk methodologies, threat modeling, and control frameworks. You should have a demonstrable track record of meeting delivery deadlines while producing accurate, approved documentation. It's essential that you have the ability to influence and gain trust from challenging or high-profile stakeholders, balancing diplomacy with clear accountability. Exceptional workstream management and team leadership skills, as well as a history of accurate delegation and respectful communication, are crucial for this role.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the development and refinement of cyber risk management processes, frameworks, and documentation. You will embed risk-thinking into cyber governance activities across the organization, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to assess, prioritize, and communicate risks in business-relevant terms. You will own risk registers, reporting cycles, and control effectiveness assessments, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders to help align business risk appetite with cyber strategy. Additionally, you will support maturity assessments and benchmarking against frameworks such as NCSC CAF, ISO 27005, or NIST RMF.

We are supporting a government department in the development and maturity of its cyber risk capability. This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in cyber risk management and a high level of stakeholder resilience, particularly the ability to navigate and influence senior stakeholders who may have differing priorities or entrenched views.
