Requirements
Must:
- Proven expertise as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)
- Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Performance Tuning, and RMAN (Backup & Recovery)
- Experience in Solution Design and deep data analysis
- Familiarity with or direct experience in HaaS environments
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of HaaS solution components, ensuring alignment with security and architecture standards
- Own the full testing lifecycle, including unit, feasibility, and component tests, and conduct technical peer reviews
- Identify and resolve routine and complex issues, introducing new components or features as needed
- Work independently while effectively collaborating with the team to define and manage software environments
Description
We are seeking an experienced, self-starting Oracle DBA to take ownership of key components within our Hardware as a Service (HaaS) solutions. This 6-month contract role is perfect for a specialist who thrives on solution design, deep-dive data analysis, and delivering robust, high-quality technical outputs from initial design through to deployment. This position is hybrid, requiring attendance in Birmingham or Sheffield, UK, for 3 days a week. The pay rate is circa £300 - £365 per day, and the role is inside IR35.
