Lead Software Developer

As the Software Developer Lead, I will support the IT Manager in ensuring the effective and efficient running of the Development Team, while providing a high-quality service to all users. My responsibilities will include: - Adhering to quality work expectations and company procedures for Information Management and Application Development - Managing tasks assigned through the Project Management System - Conducting issue investigations and determining applicable solutions - Liaising effectively with all parties involved in service provision - Monitoring issues and conducting checks to ensure system performance - Assisting in IT planning and leading, mentoring, and managing the development team - Conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback to team members - Acting as the primary point of contact for the development team - Providing technical guidance to ensure adherence to best practices and conducting code reviews for quality assurance - Collaborating with architects to ensure solutions align with the overall system architecture - Working closely with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables - Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies - Monitoring project progress, resolving roadblocks, and ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality - Liaising with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications - Maintaining and improving in-house systems and client portals - Overseeing the design and testing of software developments for future planning - Managing, monitoring, and implementing software modifications - Training users and documenting applications, as well as recording system change requests and tasks on the Project Management System
