As a candidate for the Power BI Developer position, you should bring essential experience that includes hands-on design of Power BI solutions and a track record of driving business adoption. Proficiency in the Azure stack (ADF, Databricks, SQL) is crucial for seamless data integration and reporting. Furthermore, strong skills in building visually compelling and intuitive user interfaces, accompanied by experience in reporting and analysis, preferably within the utility industry, are necessary. You should also possess the ability to manage Power BI workspaces and resolve any performance issues, along with familiarity in Agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
In terms of essential technical skills and qualifications, we require extensive hands-on experience with Power BI to create data-driven insights, alongside proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and SQL for effective data integration. Strong communication skills are essential, particularly the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Desirable skills may include knowledge of M365 Admin Centre, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint administration, as well as experience in settings related to the utility industry.
Responsibilities
In the role of a Power BI Developer, you will be an integral part of our digital transformation journey. Your responsibilities will include:
- Power BI Solution Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reporting solutions within our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), ensuring they meet business needs and drive actionable insights.
- Incident Management: Oversee the administration of Power BI workspaces, monitor performance, and resolve any incidents related to reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into engaging, visually compelling BI solutions.
- Agile Delivery: Contribute to Agile ceremonies, manage product backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of features.
- Training and Support: Develop training materials and lead sessions for end-users to ensure effective adoption of Power BI reports and dashboards.
