Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following essential skills:
- Strong skills in Python 3
- VoIP experience, including SIP
- Excellent knowledge of Linux
- Good knowledge of containers and orchestration, especially Docker
- Relational database skills in MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL
Additionally, any of the following would be beneficial:
- Wider VoIP skills, such as RTP, Asterisk, OpenSIPS, RTPEngine, or WebRTC
- Programming skills in C/C++ or Lua
- Knowledge of networking, including IPv4, IPv6, firewalls, and routing
- Familiarity with Podman, Docker Composer/Swarm, or Kubernetes
- Experience with init systems like sys5 init, runit, or system
- Proficiency in KVM and Git version control
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team of four, focusing on the development of our core Voice platform. Your key responsibilities will include developing new features, updating existing systems, and introducing new technologies into the platform. We are seeking someone who is eager to contribute fresh ideas and has the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment while working autonomously.

We are excited to collaborate once again with a prominent client who is a pioneer in the VoIP industry and an award-winning business with plenty of innovative projects in the pipeline. While we prefer candidates based in the UK, we offer some flexibility to hire candidates located within the EU/EEA, provided they are within 2 hours of GMT. Fluency in English is a requirement for this role. For the successful candidate, we offer a competitive salary along with fully remote working arrangements, including all necessary tools (phone and broadband). We maintain a standard working week with no overtime expectations, provide 33 days of holiday (including public holidays), grant an additional day off on your birthday, and offer a performance-based bonus as well as a company profit share.
