Requirements
Must:
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Scripting skills in Python or Bash
- Previous Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience, including knowledge of Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets is advantageous
- *Bonus:* Experience with HashiCorp Vault
Responsibilities
- Delivering services to customers running in Google Cloud
- Supporting engineering and operational tasks, focusing on service delivery, automation, and DevOps tasks
- Onboarding new tools to meet business needs
- Participating in design discussions and code reviews
Description
We are a global financial services organization seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a 6-month contract based in Glasgow, with hybrid working options available. In this role, you will implement new features, address user requests, and reduce repeatable tasks to allow more focus on strategic initiatives. A key aspect of your work will involve driving the transition to Google Cloud, which is set to go live in the new year.
