You should possess broad technology knowledge, including Oracle, Microsoft, Cloud, databases, APIs, and web services. Proficiency in architectural modeling using languages such as UML and ArchiMate is essential, and experience with architectural tools offering modeling and repository capabilities (preferably Bizzdesign) is preferred. You should have a strong understanding of databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), data flows, ERDs, data mapping, and classifications (e.g., master vs. transactional). Broad knowledge of enterprise systems such as CRM, Finance, HR, and integration platforms is important. We seek a strategic leader with a strong track record of delivering practical, value-driven solutions, and you should be experienced in modernizing legacy application estates using scalable methods (e.g., microservices). You must apply pragmatic, right-sized governance and assurance to support delivery, and be a strong negotiator and problem solver with a practical, outcome-focused mindset. Staying updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies is essential. We value collaboration, and you should be an effective team player across technical and business domains with excellent communication skills. You should also be an effective change agent, driving impactful, organization-wide improvements.

Responsibilities
In this role, I will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and stakeholders to define future strategies, roadmaps, and plans. I will design and maintain conceptual and logical application landscapes focused on performance, scalability, and integrity. I will develop and manage corporate taxonomies and application glossaries, evaluate and recommend application technologies based on performance, scalability, and cost, and oversee application implementations to ensure alignment with architectural standards. Furthermore, I will define application principles and standards, and measure compliance. I will produce and maintain architecture documentation to support decision-making and solution design, govern enterprise architecture assets—standards, models, and policies—in a secure, version-controlled repository. Partnering with technical and non-technical teams will enable me to understand data needs across systems (e.g., CRM, Finance, HR). I will participate in governance groups and project boards, offering architectural recommendations, and provide guidance on application usage, optimization, and exploitation. Supporting business case development to enhance application assets and publicizing delivered benefits will be part of my responsibilities, along with tracking technology trends to inform future platform development and assisting Solution and Technical Architects in their activities.
Description
This is a permanent, full-time position for an Enterprise Architect focused on Applications, with a salary of £115K in the music industry, specifically in Music Rights Management and Copyright. Our office is located in London, and we operate on a hybrid model, with 2-3 days per week required in the office as part of the Enterprise Architecture team. We are committed to flexibility in our work arrangements. Additional benefits include 25 days of holiday entitlement (with the option to top up to a maximum of 30 days), the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world for up to 8 weeks a year, and family-friendly leave options.
