We seek a Cloud Security Consultant with experience acting as the IT Security advisor to AI engineering and project teams. You should ensure all deliverables align with security standards such as NIST CSF 2.0 and effectively protect information assets while maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Experience in leading threat modeling, risk assessments, and secure coding initiatives (particularly in Python and Azure environments) is essential. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to mitigate vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with data protection laws, and have a strong grasp of security tooling, including Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, and SIEM.
Responsibilities
As our Cloud Security Consultant, you will establish, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and operational controls. Supporting audits, incident responses, and vulnerability remediation will be part of your daily tasks. You will work closely with Operational Risk, DevOps, and Information Security teams to embed best practices into Agile delivery pipelines, balancing stakeholder priorities and driving the security agenda in a matrixed environment. You will serve as the security point of contact for projects, leveraging your expertise in DevSecOps, Azure IAM, PKI, secure SDLC, and adversarial AI threats while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and security awareness.
Description
We are a global financial services firm looking for a Contract Cloud Security Consultant to join our Cyber Transformation Programme, consulting across AI, DevSecOps, and the Microsoft Security Suite. The position offers a day rate of £550-£585, is outside of IR35, and has an initial duration of 6 months. Travel requirements include 2 days a week in Central London.
