Must:
We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of software development experience, including at least 6 years in Java and AWS microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs, along with proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and GCP) and familiarity with containerization (Docker and Kubernetes) are essential. Additionally, a solid grasp of design patterns, OOP principles, and clean code practices is important. Experience with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform is required. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, are also necessary. Desirable skills include experience with asynchronous programming, familiarity with message brokers like SQS/SNS, relevant certifications in cloud technologies or architecture, and proficiency in Java versions JDK 17/21.
Responsibilities
As the Java Technical Architect, I will lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and robust backend systems using Java and related frameworks. I will define best practices and coding standards for our development teams, lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and facilitate mentoring sessions. I will collaborate with senior leadership, external customers, and stakeholders at all levels to translate complex business and technology requirements into high-level architectural designs that align with our long-term strategic goals. I will maintain strong relationships with enterprise architects and engineering leaders to define technology roadmaps, evaluate solution options, and ensure our organization’s business goals are aligned. I will bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders to deliver well-communicated, actionable solution designs. My role will also include leading the architecture and engineering of diverse architectures, such as n-tier and microservices-based applications, and employing AWS cloud services to support large-scale applications and enable real-time data processing.
Description
Our tech stack includes Java/J2EE 21, Python 3.11, Springboot, Micronaut, Dropwizard, and GraphQL. We utilize various architectural styles, including cloud-native, serverless, microservices, and event-driven architecture. We follow methodologies like TOGAF 9, Agile, Incremental, Waterfall, TDD, DDD, and BDD. Our tools include AWS services (EC2, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, Route53, RDS), GCP services (BigQuery, GCS), Kubernetes, Docker, and various design patterns. We also use RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis. Our development environment is equipped with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Terraform.
