Must:
We are seeking a DevOps - Full Stack Engineer with solid experience in CI/CD, advanced knowledge of CloudBees Jenkins (installation, configuration, and administration), and familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform. You should have experience interacting with Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud Logging, along with container orchestration using Kubernetes on platforms such as GKE, AKS, or EKS. Proficiency in the development of object-oriented code (such as Python, Groovy, and shell scripting) and declarative Jenkins pipeline development is essential. You should also have experience with designing branching strategies for pipeline management, monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, and a strong understanding of DevOps release principles. Additionally, we value experience in problem management and incident support, leading a pod, assisting with product backlog grooming, and a desire to help improve team members' career development. Familiarity with agile scrum processes, cost optimization design, and core technical integrations with security and change management tooling such as SNOW, SAST/DAST tooling is expected. Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with engineering teams and senior management.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing technical solutions that improve our CI/CD processes, orchestrate container deployments, and enhance our cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, help design and build scalable applications, and ensure the reliability and performance of our systems. You'll work on developing and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines and contribute to architectural design discussions. Your role will also include troubleshooting problems, optimizing our processes, and engaging actively in agile practices. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead a team, support colleagues in their professional growth, and participate in product backlog management.
Description
This is a hybrid position, with 60% of your time spent in the office and 40% remote, offered as an initial 7-month contract with a good scope for extension. The daily rate ranges from £450 to £475 (Umbrella-PAYE). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-term program of work with a blue-chip client.
