We are looking for a BOMS Monitoring Engineer with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure (Windows, Unix, Linux) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). You should have hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Splunk ITSI, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and synthetic monitoring platforms. Familiarity with enterprise systems such as WebLogic, Apache, Oracle, and SQL is also essential. We value the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems while documenting solutions effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, coupled with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset, are crucial for success in this role. Desirable certifications include Splunk Core Certified User / ITSI Certified Administrator, Dynatrace Associate Certification, Cisco AppDynamics Associate Performance Analyst, and a solid understanding of log and synthetic monitoring principles.
Responsibilities
As a BOMS Monitoring Engineer, I will be responsible for translating high-level non-functional requirements (NFRs) into actionable configurations across various monitoring tools. I will deliver full-stack observability solutions, which encompass application-aware network performance monitoring (NPM), synthetics, log analytics, and infrastructure metrics. I will provide live support for monitoring technologies and assist with live service support, including responding to key business events and incidents (some occurrences may require out-of-hours service). Collaboration with architects and project teams will be essential for integrating monitoring into solution designs and testing strategies. I will maintain and enhance dashboards, alerts, and visualizations to support proactive service management. Lastly, participation in continuous improvement initiatives and tooling exploitation will be expected to enhance operational efficiency.
