Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience leading, coaching, and mentoring individuals and teams.
- Expertise in either server-side Kotlin or a modern version of Java.
- A structured approach to systems analysis and development.
- A good understanding of Microservice Architectures.
- Experience with application frameworks such as http4k or Spring Boot.
- An understanding of Agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Demonstrable experience in TDD, pair programming, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
- Proficient in REST API development and/or consumption.
Responsibilities
- Join one of our agile product teams as a Senior Back-End Software Engineer.
- Utilize your Kotlin or Java skills to build and support new features that add value to our business.
- Lead the shaping of new projects using your knowledge of Software Engineering.
- Support the professional development of less experienced Engineers.
- Opportunity to become a people manager if that is an appealing prospect.
Description
This hybrid role allows you to work primarily from home in the UK while also visiting our London and Bracknell offices as needed. Our Engineering team typically works from the office about twice a week, but this can vary depending on business demands. We offer a competitive salary range of £59,500 - £92,400, depending on experience, and the contract type is permanent. We seek candidates who are passionate about leveraging technology for exceptional and innovative software solutions, with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality software in a team setting.
