We are looking for a Configuration Engineer with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT or technical support. Data input experience with a keen attention to detail is essential. You should be flexible and able to adapt to changing demands at short notice. We value proactive and reliable team players who possess excellent time management skills, enabling you to meet targets and SLAs. A solid understanding of IT components and hardware is also required, alongside a commitment to accuracy and consistency in all tasks.
Responsibilities
As a Configuration Engineer, I expect you to perform software installations and configurations within existing IT infrastructures or predefined projects. You will work on bespoke in-house systems, and while full training will be provided, you'll need to build and configure various systems by following detailed scripts precisely. Clear communication and reporting to supervisors and team leaders are crucial. You will conduct manual data input, which constitutes approximately 25-50% of your role, requiring meticulous attention to detail. It will be your responsibility to consolidate consignments for distribution and maintain an awareness of how your contributions fit into the broader team's output. Proactive communication regarding progress or delays is necessary to ensure a smooth workflow and to meet our targets. Additionally, you will be involved in the boxing and unboxing of IT equipment as part of the configuration process, support pallet movement, and engage in work planning activities while efficiently meeting SLA targets and productivity goals.
