Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Outstanding computer troubleshooting skills for obscure issues, including device connectivity, network issues, and laboratory software problems.
- A background in End-user Computing or Desktop Support is essential.
- Familiarity with Networking concepts, such as network topology, VLANs, Static/Dynamic IPs, Subnetting, IT/OT Networks, and basic firewall understanding.
- Knowledge of the OSI model and troubleshooting different network layers is required.
- A solid understanding of Active Directory is necessary.
- Experience with AGILE ways of working is essential.
- Previous experience with validated systems (GxP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus.
- Business Analyst experience would be a bonus.
Responsibilities
As a Lab Engineer, I will assist in maintaining the existing computer infrastructure of 5000 Lab Environment PCs globally. My key responsibilities will include:
- Imaging and onboarding new computers into the domain and onto the network.
- Securing and protecting both new and existing hardware.
- Consulting with the business to provide assistance with their equipment.
- Troubleshooting and implementing data flows for scientific instruments.
