Must:
We are seeking a talented individual with at least 3 years of commercial experience in WordPress and software development. You should have a diverse portfolio showcasing a variety of development projects. We require proficiency in PHP 8.4, HTML 5, CSS 3, and JavaScript, with an emphasis on creating websites that are compatible across all browsers and responsive on mobile devices. Experience with Git, JQuery, Ajax, and MySQL/Maria databases is essential. A deep understanding of WordPress, including theme and plugin development, is critical to this role. Knowledge of Scrum, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies, as well as a strong commitment to information security best practices, will be advantageous. You should exhibit a core belief in outstanding user experience and interaction design, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to manage multiple development streams concurrently.
Responsibilities
In your role as a WordPress and software developer, you will be a core member of our dynamic team, contributing to the delivery of digital solutions for both our clients and our own products. Your day-to-day tasks will include the upkeep and maintenance of existing WordPress sites, and scoping, developing, and delivering new WordPress sites, which could involve bespoke plugins and themes. You will collaborate with your team to implement and enhance developed solutions, ensuring they adhere to best practices for security and maintainability. Additionally, you will assist with briefs, concept development, and the transformation of ideas into tangible web-based and software solutions.
