Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of commercial development experience, specifically with PHP and Laravel. You should have strong knowledge of Laravel components including ORM, Blade, routing, middleware, and queues, along with experience working with MySQL or similar relational databases. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (Vue.js is a bonus) is also required. You must be confident in working with RESTful APIs and Git version control and have experience with testing tools like PHPUnit and CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, and you must be able to commute to Maidstone as this is an office-based role.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will design and build new web application features using PHP and Laravel. You will lead technical decision-making and influence the architecture of projects. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions will be a key part of your day-to-day activities. Additionally, you will develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services while writing clean, maintainable code using modern development practices. Mentoring junior developers and leading code reviews will be part of your responsibilities. You will also participate in Agile ceremonies and support continuous delivery while contributing to system improvements, performance, and security.
Description
We are offering a competitive salary of up to £55,000, depending on experience.
