Requirements
Must:
We are looking for technically minded ex-military professionals with commercial engineering or DevOps experience who thrive in agile, cutting-edge environments. It is essential to hold active eDV clearance (UKIC). Candidates should have experience (or some commercial exposure) to the following:
- Cloud: AWS (CloudFormation, Terraform) – Azure also considered.
- Automation: CI/CD pipelines (DroneCI ideal), AWS Developer Tools (CodeBuild/CodePipeline).
- Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Scripting: Advanced Linux admin and Bash scripting.
- Tools: GitHub / GitLab, Ansible.
- Security: Understanding of best practices – Kubernetes security groups, HTTP headers, mutual authentication, etc.
Responsibilities
As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, build, and automate secure cloud environments that underpin sensitive national security operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Automating application and infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Working within a multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum team.
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines and containerised solutions.
- Applying security best practices within a highly classified setting.
Description
We support a trusted digital transformation partner to the UK Government and National Security community through this high-impact Greenfield programme, giving you the chance to really make a difference. You will work 3 days on-site per week, in either Milton Keynes or Cheltenham, within a flat-structured, collaborative, and fast-paced team that values your initiative and technical curiosity.
