Must:
We are seeking candidates who have a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or strategic transformation roles. A strong background in creating business capability maps, value streams, and operating model blueprints is essential. You should have experience working in complex, regulated environments with both business and technology transformation portfolios. A broad understanding of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and BIZBOK is necessary. Additionally, experience engaging with senior stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional design and planning sessions is required.
Desirable qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related discipline, along with professional certifications such as TOGAF, BIZBOK, or SAFe for Architects. Previous experience working as part of a UK Distribution Network Operator or similar regulated sector is advantageous.
Responsibilities
As our Solution Architect, I will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that achieves our business objectives. Documenting all solution architecture design is key. I will understand business drivers and capabilities, determining corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive our targeted business outcomes.
I will also frame problems and produce architectural representations that enable different teams to have a shared understanding throughout the project or system life cycle. Collaboration with business leaders, programme leaders, and strategists will be crucial in shaping transformation roadmaps grounded in capability maturity and value delivery. Building relationships with stakeholders across various business or technical areas within the organisation is essential, as is staying up to date on technology trends and approaches.
