Requirements
Must:
- I require a minimum of 2 years' experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering with a focus on platform development.
- You should have at least 3 years of development experience using a high-level programming language, such as Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- Proven expertise in AWS architecture and operations is essential, including services like EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, and networking.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling is mandatory, with Gitlab experience being preferable.
- You must have experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in observability and monitoring solutions, such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk, is required.
- A solid understanding of cloud-native development practices and agile methodologies is crucial.
- You should feel confident conducting peer code reviews and providing constructive technical feedback.
Desirables:
- Experience designing solutions in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments would be an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes networking and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Calico) is desirable.
- Experience with Kafka and its ecosystem (Kafka Connect, ksqlDB) would be beneficial.
- Expertise in debugging complex distributed systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with relational databases (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) is favorable.
Responsibilities
- You will design, build, and optimize a secure PCI-compliant cloud platform on AWS to support enterprise-grade applications and services.
- My expectation is that you will architect and operate production workloads with a strong emphasis on high availability, scalability, and resilience.
- You'll drive improvements in observability and monitoring across infrastructure and services, proactively identifying issues.
- I want you to promote and embed a security-first, DevSecOps culture, ensuring best practices are followed at every stage of the software lifecycle.
- Defining, measuring, and maintaining key metrics (availability, MTTR, cost efficiency, performance) to meet and exceed platform KPIs will be your responsibility.
- You will mentor and guide engineers, sharing your valuable knowledge on cloud-native technologies, security practices, and operational excellence.
- I expect you to contribute to the evolution of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tooling to enhance delivery speed and reliability.
