Requirements
Must:
- You must live within a commutable distance of Colchester.
- You must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. Please note that we are unable to offer work permit sponsorship for this position.
- Strong commercial experience in PHP development.
- Extensive experience with WordPress, including theme and plugin development.
- A solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with React would be a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
As a PHP/WordPress Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a variety of web applications and websites. You will work closely with our existing development team and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital solutions. Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
- Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code.
- Building and maintaining responsive and user-friendly websites.
- Integrating with third-party APIs and services.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Collaborating with designers and project managers to deliver projects on time and to specification.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies.
