Requirements

Must:
- Educated to NVQ/A Level Standard in IT or hold equivalent experience. - Experience in a first-line support role and familiarity with Helpdesk software. - Proficiency in installing PCs, printers, antivirus software, and Microsoft applications. - Ability to troubleshoot general IT issues, including those related to PCs, email, and printers. - Experience in configuring and supporting the latest versions of Windows. - Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. - Ability to work under pressure while demonstrating a flexible and enthusiastic attitude. - Service-focused with a confident and approachable manner. - Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with IT users to maintain an exceptional level of service by monitoring and resolving infrastructure, telephony, and hardware issues. - Work closely with other IT users to execute the IT strategy and roadmap. - Provide 1st line support through the company’s helpdesk system, troubleshooting and resolving IT-related incidents. - Communicate with third-party vendors, escalating and managing incidents through to resolution. - Install, replace, and maintain the company’s hardware and software assets, including laptops, mobile phones, printers, and barcode scanners. - Keep the company asset list up to date. - Utilize the company’s vulnerability monitoring software to ensure that company assets (hardware/software) remain patched, have antivirus coverage, and have software updates applied. - Ensure physical and digital security and compliance are maintained within company systems and procedures. - Support with the recovery of major incidents. - Maintain an overall understanding of the IT network and infrastructure operation and assist in maintaining servers and network infrastructure.
