Requirements
Must:
- Experience with the following technologies: CrowdStrike EDR, Mimecast, Tessian or similar email DLP, Intune, Entra ID, Firewalls (Palo Alto preferred).
- Previous experience driving a SecOps function (desirable).
- CISSP certification (highly desirable).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Background in network engineering or infrastructure engineering (desirable).
Responsibilities
- I will oversee the overall management and maintenance of the CrowdStrike platform, including configuring EDR policies, tuning SIEM rules, and optimizing the system for performance.
- I will lead or participate in incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and develop runbooks for incident handling.
- I will monitor for security threats, analyze alerts, and respond to incidents using CrowdStrike and other security tools.
- I will conduct vulnerability scans and support remediation and risk mitigation efforts.
- I will oversee WAF, DDoS, VPN, and perimeter firewalls.
- I will manage Email and Web Security Gateways.
- I will work with the Endpoint team to administer MFA, SSO, PAM, MDM/MAM, and Conditional Access.
- I will maintain security certificates, encryption keys, and IDS/IPS systems.
- I will lead ad-hoc security projects.
Description
This role is a Lead Cyber Security Engineer position that operates under a hybrid working policy, requiring three days per week in our London office. My focus for this role is to develop, implement, and maintain security solutions that protect systems from ever-evolving cyber threats while moving towards a zero-trust operating model. I will serve as the technical lead, drive key security initiatives, mentor junior team members, and contribute to enhancing our overall security posture. The ideal candidate should come from a background in network engineering or infrastructure engineering, with a progression into Cyber Security.
