Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an Azure Infrastructure Engineer with the following qualifications:
- Strong experience in on-premise to cloud transformation
- Experience automating processes in public cloud providers
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with Azure Migrate
- Experience in private cloud datacentre technology including VMware, Cisco UCS, and Dell EMC
- Knowledge in private cloud networking including Cisco ACI, F5 load balancing, Palo Alto firewall, and SDWAN
- Proficiency in PowerShell (preferred)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (preferred)
- Experience with Terraform (preferred)
- Experience of working within a global environment (preferred)
Responsibilities
As an Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
- Assess current technologies and prepare for cloud transformation while collaborating with the Platform Engineering team
- Develop, maintain, and document best practices, guidelines, and guardrails for both on-premise and cloud technologies
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability, while maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design
- Identify, analyze, and resolve legacy and cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues
- Develop and deploy modular cloud-based systems
- Work with the Platform Engineering team to provide automation enhancements that maintain consistency in the environment
- Collaborate with vendor partners to test and benchmark new infrastructure solutions, sharing findings with the Infrastructure Architects team and relevant management levels
- Partner with application and Infrastructure teams to ensure both new and existing systems adhere to BC/DR guidelines, with documented plans that are tested and reviewed regularly
- Act as an escalation point for the IT Operations team
Description
This position offers a hybrid working policy with three days per week required in the office. We are excited to welcome a new Azure Infrastructure Engineer to our team, which is part of a leading global professional services firm. This newly created role focuses on the end-to-end cloud transformation process, transitioning from on-premise infrastructures to Azure.
