Requirements
Must:
- I require at least 3 years of experience in a web development role.
- Proficiency in WordPress (PHP) development, including custom themes and plugins, is essential.
- I expect strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration is a must.
- I need someone with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Comfort in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities is necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with non-technical colleagues, are vital.
- Experience with Laravel and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- I will have you build, maintain, and enhance websites and web applications primarily using WordPress and Laravel.
- You will collaborate with design, content, product, and marketing teams to turn ideas into robust technical solutions.
- I expect you to take ownership of identifying and resolving technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- You will work on improving speed, accessibility, and the overall user experience across our digital properties.
- I require you to provide hands-on tech support and guidance to internal teams to enable them to do their best work.
- You will help streamline internal workflows through the introduction of automation and new tooling.
- Staying current on development best practices and suggesting new frameworks, plugins, or approaches that improve code quality and efficiency will be part of your role.
- Lastly, I expect you to use Git and follow coding standards to maintain a clean, collaborative development environment.
