Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems/infrastructure management, preferably in MSP or systems integrator environments.
- In-depth experience administering and configuring Microsoft 365 tenants and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
- Strong understanding of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and cross-domain collaboration.
- Proven track record in IT systems integration, governance, and security.
- Familiarity with ITIL, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning (DR/BCP) frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 22301, ISO 27031).
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), compliance policies, and the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate).
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-change, fast-paced environment.
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL) are desirable.
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
- Must be eligible to obtain BPSS and SC clearance.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the Group IT roadmap in alignment with the business strategy.
- Assess existing systems and prioritize technology initiatives and projects.
- Allocate resources and track progress with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and manage a Group-wide Microsoft 365 tenancy across multiple domains.
- Standardize platform configuration and enforce governance and security policies.
- Enable seamless collaboration, identity and access management, and application integration.
- Manage third-party applications, such as Sage HR, Sage 200, Concur, HubSpot, and D365 CRM.
- Lead the integration of IT platforms from acquired businesses into the Group infrastructure.
- Coordinate secure and compliant data migrations and system cutovers.
- Optimize platform performance, simplify collaboration, and reduce duplication.
- Ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of day-to-day IT operations.
- Oversee troubleshooting, upgrades, and business-as-usual (BAU) system administration.
- Manage Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and other vendors to meet SLAs and performance targets.
- Enforce policies that support regulatory compliance and IT security.
- Develop and test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
- Monitor risk, conduct audits, and implement remediation actions as needed.
- Lead IT projects through their lifecycle, including scoping, budgeting, and delivery.
- Track project performance using KPIs and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Report against Operational and Capital Expenditure budgets, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Work closely with stakeholders in HR, Finance, and Service Delivery to align systems with needs.
- Provide training and adoption support for new systems and processes.
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and digital enablement across the organization.
