Must:
We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of FinOps practices and successful execution of these practices. You should have strong data analysis and reporting skills, along with the ability to make recommendations based on your findings. Experience in a similar role within a complex organization is essential, as this position requires dealing with a variety of stakeholders and teams. Excellent communication skills are necessary for providing clear verbal and written communications with internal stakeholders and leadership.
Additional key skills include:
- Proven experience working in the FinOps space, ideally within a financial services environment.
- Excellent cloud experience, particularly in Azure and AWS.
- Proficiency in reporting skills to effectively provide updates and analysis for stakeholders and teams.
- Experience in creating and maintaining PowerBI & Grafana dashboards.
- A strong attention to detail and evaluative judgment based on best practices and experience.
- The ability to coordinate and direct efforts, ensuring quality standards and time constraints are met.
Responsibilities
As a FinOps Analyst, you will support the financial management and optimization of cloud resources, with an initial focus on Azure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Tracking and reporting on cloud spending across platforms, providing usage summaries and variance analysis.
- Assisting in identifying opportunities by analyzing usage patterns and generating data to support optimization activities.
- Contributing to the development and execution of FinOps processes, aligning with ITSM workflows and change management practices.
- Assisting in cloud cost reporting, forecasting, and budgeting by preparing historical spend reports and usage trend analysis.
- Monitoring policy compliance related to cloud usage and cost control.
