Requirements
Must:
- You are an experienced technical leader without ego.
- You have previous experience as a software engineer, ideally with Java or C# experience.
- You possess a strong knowledge of modern cloud-based software engineering.
- You have a keen eye for identifying risks and waste and can move quickly to resolve them.
- You are delivery-focused, able to maintain clarity and structure for engineers, keeping them unblocked.
- You have experience driving continuous improvements, upskilling engineers, and fostering a healthy team culture.
- You are collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- You hold a degree in a technical discipline.
Responsibilities
- As a Software Development Manager, you will manage three small, product-focused teams, leading delivery efforts, planning, resourcing, sizing, and timelines.
- You will oversee team structure and hiring to adapt to evolving requirements.
- Your role includes driving technical scoping, shaping solutions, and aligning on feasibility while removing blockers and obstacles.
- You will facilitate meaningful Agile ceremonies that add value to the teams.
- Acting as a 'sounding board' for software engineers, you will provide coaching to ensure a positive, diverse, and professional team culture.
- You will promote continuous improvements in processes, tooling, and communication, collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX, QA, and other business stakeholders.
