Requirements
Must:
We require candidates who have an excellent academic record of achievement, with a 2.1 or above at the BSc level, and who have studied to MSc/PhD level at a top-tier university in fields such as Advanced Mathematics, Probability, or Statistical Patterns. Additionally, you should have commercial experience in a similar role and be proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C++, or C#. Strong SQL skills and the ability to work with large data sets and statistics are also essential. A good appreciation of data science techniques, along with experience in implementing highly scalable, performant, low-latency solutions, is expected. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital.
Responsibilities
As a Quantitative Analyst, you will be focusing on analyzing weather data to identify risk, while collaborating with experienced quants and liaising with portfolio managers to deliver bespoke statistical models and methods. You will be working on long-term strategic projects involving the implementation of quantitative statistical models that forecast elements of demand and supply in European energy markets.
