Must:
We are looking for a capable software engineer who can support our in-service missile-system middleware solutions. The ideal candidate will hold current SC Clearance, though achievable clearance will be acceptable. You should have experience with at least one of the following programming languages: C or C++, Ada, and/or JavaScript, along with shell scripting languages. A solid background in software engineering is necessary. Additionally, you must have experience configuring and maintaining Linux Operating Systems (preferably Redhat and/or Ubuntu), including Kernel configuration and testing. A passion for software engineering is essential, along with the ability to innovate and think critically to understand and solve complex software problems.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of a driven team with a passion for software and its deployment in battlespace Command and Control (C2) weapon systems. Your primary responsibilities will include debugging and conducting engineering investigations on complex software issues as they arise. You will work collaboratively with our customers to discuss solutions, requiring clear communication of technical information to non-technical stakeholders. This role allows you to work across multiple applications on both land and maritime projects within the systems software department, enabling your involvement in some of the most advanced missile systems in the world across various warfare domains.

We offer a hybrid working pattern; where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working. However, due to the secure classification of the work requiring secure network access, a minimum of four days per week in the office in Bristol is required.
