Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team, bringing a minimum of four years’ experience in key areas of IT infrastructure support. Candidates should possess a broad range of technical knowledge, ideally gained from working within an internal IT department. It is essential that you can take ownership of issues, approach troubleshooting logically, and maintain a high level of attention to detail as you will be responsible for resolving support issues that you pick up.
Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and support client hardware, software, IT systems, and infrastructure.
- Provide reactive support by troubleshooting problems, implementing emergency fixes, and determining longer-term remedial actions.
- Configure, reprovision, and onboard devices for clients.
- Administer Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, and other cloud services.
- Schedule and perform proactive system maintenance.
- Analyze systems and make recommendations to improve performance.
- Perform server backup and recovery operations, and restart systems following outages.
- Liaise between users, external suppliers, and team members.
- Record support activities via our ticketing system and communicate progress back to the team.
- Respond promptly to client queries and requests that come in via phone, email, or online chat.
- Provide updates to clients if issues cannot be resolved immediately.
- Communicate and explain technical information clearly to a non-technical audience.
- Keep process documentation and client information up to date.
- Conduct onsite visits to clients for issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
- Configure and provision IT environments for new clients.
- Participate in technical implementation projects from planning to deployment.
