Requirements
Must:
- Good working knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11)
- Proficiency in Office 365/Exchange
- Experience with Active Directory/Azure AD
- Familiarity with Group Policy (DNS/DHCP)
- Understanding of networking (VLANs, TCP/IP) and exposure to routers and switches
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- Desirable: Previous MSP experience, Virtualisation (Hyper-V), and PowerShell
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for all customers via phone, email, or face-to-face
- Perform in-depth diagnosis and escalate to 3rd line support when necessary
- Log all incidents and requests within the agreed service desk work management system
- Manage, prioritise, and plan your own work queue to address calls within set SLAs
- Identify and drive opportunities for improvement/change via the Service Improvement process
Description
We are a growing IT Managed Services Provider based in Newcastle-under-Lyme and we are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our close-knit technical team. This is an office-based role with frequent site visits around Staffordshire, typically averaging 2-3 client visits per week. You will continuously work with the latest technology and engage in various aspects of the role.
With this opportunity, we offer a starting salary of £26,000 to £29,000 depending on experience, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, business mileage where applicable, a contributory pension scheme, and a private healthcare scheme, along with many other benefits.
