Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for someone with a Microsoft tech-stack background who has experience as a .NET Developer with Software Security experience, Azure DevSecOps Consultant, or a Unix/Linux Systems Administrator.
- You should have a development background and must have transitioned into Software Security or Cloud Security.
- Strong Azure skills are essential; a blend with AWS experience is acceptable but not preferred.
- It's crucial that you come from a development background, as you'll primarily be working with developers, needing to effectively communicate and build trust within the team.
- I expect you to have a solid understanding of software development methodologies and practices, as well as the ability to perform Rapid Risk Assessments and Threat Modeling.
- Other required technical skills include Azure Security Monitoring, Application Insights, and SIEM.
Responsibilities
- You will take the helm of an already established role that has been vital to the company's growth over the past two years.
- Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, which means my expectation is for you to have strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across various functions.
- This position is a "hands-on" leadership role suitable for someone with consulting experience and appropriate hands-on skills.
- I want you to help teams integrate security into their daily work life, continuously looking to automate, streamline, and enhance processes while maintaining quality and security.
- You should be passionate about modern security approaches and ideally well-versed in thoughts shared in literature like "The Phoenix Project".
