Requirements
Must:
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver robust BI solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server and related database technologies for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Skilled in designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and reports using Power BI and SSRS.
- Proficiency in integrating data from multiple sources and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability for business decision-making.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve data and reporting issues.
- Track record of providing user training, documentation, and ongoing support for BI tools, dashboards, and reports.
- Understanding of business intelligence strategies and their application to support organizational objectives.
- Additional skills include experience with Power Apps and Power Automate for advanced data workflows and automation, as well as certification in Microsoft Power Platform, SQL Server, or related technologies.
- Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing, along with knowledge of data governance, compliance, and information security principles.
Responsibilities
As a BI Developer, I will work with the Client MUs Central Business Operations Support team (CBOS) to deliver high-quality business intelligence solutions. My role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing and implementing BI tools, such as dashboards and reports, and ensuring accurate data integration from various sources. I will apply my problem-solving skills to address any data and reporting issues, and provide necessary training and support to users. Additionally, I will contribute to the development of strategies that align with organizational objectives.
Description
The BI Developer position is a contract role based in Telford, offering a hybrid work model with two days required onsite per month. The contract is set to run until June 21, 2026, with a day rate of £406.35 umbrella inside IR35. We appreciate the interest in this position and the efforts made to apply.
