Requirements
Must:
- Strong background in Microsoft technologies, platforms, and ecosystems.
- Demonstrated experience in deploying and integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Modified Off-The-Shelf (MOTS), and Ministry of Defence (MOD) applications.
- Proficiency in system integration, configuration management, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with secure environments and accreditation processes (e.g., MOD/Defence standards).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
- Desirable: Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management frameworks, as well as scripting or automation skills (such as PowerShell) to support deployment activities. Experience in cloud or hybrid integration (e.g., Azure, O365).
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and integrate Microsoft and third-party COTS/MOTS/MOD applications across enterprise and secure environments.
- Support application lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure smooth deployment and optimal system performance.
- Troubleshoot application-related issues and deliver timely resolutions to maintain service continuity.
- Provide technical documentation, implementation guides, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Ensure all applications meet compliance, security, and accreditation requirements.
Description
We are offering a 10-month initial contract for this position, which requires DV clearance. The compensation for this role ranges from £525 to £575 per day. As a Microsoft Application Specialist, you will play a vital role in the installation, implementation, and integration of applications within complex environments, ensuring compliance with security and performance standards.
